About Rebecca

Psychotherapy to heal the patterns that hurt

Rebecca Hickman, a Licensed Professional Counselor, has been working in the field of mental health & addictions since 2006.

She has worked with clients dealing with a wide variety of mental health struggles including anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, depression, and OCD.

Rebecca obtained her Bachelor’s degree with a Psychology major and a Spanish minor from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Next, she attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania and graduated with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Out of graduate school, Rebecca started her career as the assistant director of a co-occurring disorders Intensive Outpatient Program in Philadelphia. After obtaining licensure, she went into private practice seeing individuals and additionally created a young adult mental health Intensive Outpatient Program in Center City, Philadelphia. Six years into her counseling career in Pennsylvania, she moved to Colorado to live closer to all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer.

Her experience since moving to Colorado in 2012 has included working in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, private practice, psychiatric inpatient units, addiction treatment centers, and as a psychiatric evaluator in a hospital Emergency Department.
